The 50’s Bridesmaid set Size 8-10

A rare combination is a full bridesmaid’s outfit from the 1950’s this set has come from the original owner and includes mesh fingerless gloves a small bag and headband.

This is a home made gown which features loads of beautifully finished scalloped edges on the entire dress. The waist has a deep v shape that is replicated down the dress.

The fabric is a coral red textured satin taffeta of a polyester variety, this dress has a lot of fabric giving a beautiful fall to the skirt.

Condition: The bones of this set is great, fabric is robust here’s where the age shows 

The zip looks perfect but it has siezed unable to zip down I have tried every thing to move it ultimately will need replacing, this is something we would normally do but we don’t have time and it would mean the dress would not be in this collection of the original owner.

There is a dark mark on the back, I would cover by adding a soft chiffon cowl I have washed this dress.

There is a patch by the hem not visible.
