Cole of California Dress size 8

This stunning 1950’s Cole of California rock n roll vintage halter-neck dress features a bold, oversized polka dot print in shades of red, pink, and orange set against a soft cream background. 

The fitted, ruched, bodice is designed with a flattering sweetheart-style neckline, lined bust area, while the halter strap can be adjusted with a button closure. 

A gathered waist flows into a full, airy skirt that moves beautifully and creates a classic silhouette. 

 This is a highly collectible label from America in the  they started in the 20’s designing swim wear so this is a very rare dress. 

Condition: in good condition for its age the fabric is robust.  Fading on the lower half of the dress (hard to notice as it all gathers together) and then on the bodice area. The sheering  elastic has given way so is lax.

I recommend having this dress opened up at the back or side and having a zip fitted, it was difficult to get in the mannequin .

The fabric and overall style provides a foundation to redesign for a perfect fit 

Materials: no label. It appears to be a mid weight  cotton  giving a soft structure.
