The embroidered black velvet is superb the cut is masterful and thats because it’s by French designer Emanuel Ungaro.
Ungaro trained under Balenciaga in the 1960’s and this extraordinary peplum shaped jacket with exaggerated shoulders and a cinched in waist is every bit a high end piece.
The edges are trimmed in black satin and a satin bow sits at the centre of the closure.
Most likely from the late 80’s collection as shown on the illustration.
